SK-CS Vibrating Wire Surface Strain Gauge
Short Description:
Overview
The Enviko SK-CS vibrating wire surface strain gauge measures stress and strain on the surface of concrete structures over the long term. It consists of a sensor, strain body, protective sleeve and mounting base, and its built-in temperature sensor records ambient temperature for temperature compensation. A smart chip can be added on request.
Key Features
- Integrated strain body with built-in bellows for stable, accurate readings
- Follows the deformation of the structure without disturbing the original stress field
- Sealed, anti-torsion design for true readings in harsh conditions
- Impact and drop resistant, with grounding for lightning protection
- Built-in temperature sensor; optional smart chip
- Four gauge lengths: 100, 150, 200 and 250 mm
- Simple installation on a welded mounting base
Applications
- Surface strain monitoring of concrete dams and hydraulic structures
- Bridges, tunnels and other concrete structures
- Long-term structural health monitoring programmes
