SK-VC No-Stress Meter (Strain-Body Type)
Short Description:
Overview
The Enviko SK-VC no-stress meter measures the strain caused by volume changes of the concrete itself, separate from strain caused by load. It consists of a strain gauge placed inside a no-stress container, and it also measures the temperature at the installation point. Engineers use its readings alongside embedded strain gauges to calculate the true stress in concrete.
Key Features
- Strain gauge and no-stress container supplied as one system
- Integrated bellows strain body with high elastic modulus and high sensitivity
- Resistant to rotation, bending, impact and drops, with grounding for lightning protection
- Does not disturb the original stress field
- Easy, reliable installation and suited to long-term operation under water
- Built-in temperature sensor
Applications
- Concrete dams and hydraulic structures
- Mass concrete in other structures where strain gauges are installed
